When I visted my friend Moon in the US she made this Prime Rib for us that was sooo good. Since I have no plans on visiting the US anytime soon... I had to find a reason to make it. Every year my family we do a Christmas Dinner where us 3 kids would all make something and take turns hosting.

This year we were all traveling different dates in December so the only weekend that all three of us were in town was Dec 8, a lil early for Christmas but what the heck, it was reason for feasting!

So I asked Moon for her for the recipe and she told me it was super easy, her exact words were "If she can make it, anybody can" Hahaha, so here's how it went for me.

Marinade:

7-8 Cloves of Garlic

2 Tbsps of Thyme

2 Tbsps of Rosemary

1 Block of Unsalted Butter (250g) 2 Tbsps of Salt

Rib:

2.5kg of Boneless Rib ( I get my beef from @freshbeefsupplier for special occasions like this)

Directions:

Put all the ingredients for the marinade into the food processor, mix it all up.

Rub the marinade around the Rib

Pre-heat oven to 260C Put it in for 20 mins and turned the heat off. Let it sit in the oven for 2 hours without opening the oven at all.

I Repeat: DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN

Stuff I used:

And it came out... pretty perfect with well done at the ends and a nice medium rare in the middle. A cut for everyone. But I'm not sure if I'd make it again

1) My house was smoked, everything had a burnt smell

2) My oven was a mess, thank goodness for the oven's self cleaning function!
